What a crazy ride this month has been!
It started with trying to recover from the DTS open, which took far longer than I wanted it to. On my first day back to training I tweaked my QL and glute a few hours after training while sitting funny. This left me crippled for a few days, but after some TLC from some great massage therapists, I was able to get going the next week.
Getting going again felt great! I was focused and ready to dive back in! The first day getting going again for the second time my new dog got aggressive over food and bit my hand. There was a mess of blood everywhere, and even though I was in pain, all I could think was 'How the hell am I supposed to squat tomorrow?". I bandaged myself up as best as I could, and with the help of Mark and some co-workers who lovingly pulled up my knee sleeves and tied my shoes, I did some squats.
I thankfully was able to figure out a way to work with a useless hand for the week and a half that it was an issue.

Once I moved past the messed up hand, the month was up hill from there. I have been feeling very motivated to train, and ready to improve both mentally and physically.

I headed out to NJ to Chris Duffin's Movement Systems course at the end of the month, which you can read about here. The course was very well run and definitely worth the money and travel.066

On the very happy side, my brother got married on a rainy day on September 12th, so I have a new sister-in-law! Yay!
