Last week ended with an accessory workout on Wednesday and a speed bench workout on Friday.
The Wednesday session was nothing special, just some back extensions, cable pullthroughs, incline situps and planks. All light for 4 sets of 15 or so. These sessions don't really make me stronger, but they speed my recovery and keep me healthier for the workouts that do.
Friday was a speed bench session.
The previous week I did 8 sets of 2 at 185. This week, it was 8 sets of 2 at 205.
Got through the sets quickly and easily. Next week will be the same sets and reps with 225.
For assistance, it was 4 sets of 10 low cable rows, 4 sets of 12 triceps pushdowns and 4 sets of 15 dumbbell biceps curls (to address some nagging biceps tendonitis).
After all that, I did some gripper work to keep working on my deadlift grip strength.
