Getting closer and closer to the Arnold XPC 21 Deadlift Salute. Today I decided to bench vs the orange elitefts light bands doubled over. This was my first time using these bands, I in the past I've used the mini or monster mini's doubled over. I liked the increase in band tension, forces you to set up tight and not get lazy.
After a handful of warmup sets we went:
185 for 6 x 2
205 for 4 x 2
Like I said, the weight was pretty heavy at the top, but moved really well on every set.
Next:
CLose grip to a 3 board, Same band tension with 135 lbs on the bar.
5 sets - varied 8-10 reps
After a great tri pump I hit 2 sets to failure of seated cable rows and cable overhead tri extensions.
Just for fun, to finish it off, I hit a dropset of curls on the cable machine.
