So I finally got around to doing my third week of my striped down 531 intro phase. When i do 531 I do it very genericly and very light on volume. Essentially I only do the top set. The intro phase is only the reps prescribed of the last set. This being week 3 meant just doing a single. With my legs beat to hell I need to do something that is low volume and can start light and build slowly.
Squat
135 for 3 sets of 5
225 for 3
325 for 2
415 for 2
505 for 1
Deadlift
335 for 2
425 for 2
545 for 1
Hex bar shrugs
3 sets of 10 up to 400
Reverse prowler drag
4 trips moving as fast as i can with tripping or running over my feet
Done
Nice easy day. I brought my stance in slightly for more quad and less ITB strain. Next week will start with AMRAPish work. I wont be going to failure but Ill be pushing more and more as each week progresses.
