I'm currently in a off season style of training, trying to bring up weak points and improve body composition for the duration of the summer. At the end of summer I will reevaluate where I stand, and decide whether I would like to compete in the late fall, or wait until the XPC Finals in March of 2016.

Saturday kicked off my deload week leading into meet prep. Considering this is normally a lower body day, I kept with that. I'm not really feeling beat up or anything, but I know how I feel during a meet prep, so I thought I would take this time to get in a little bit of rest and down time while I could have it. It also works out well as I've got over 20 hours of training in 3 days for work/personal training, so it's safe to say if I did decide to train pretty normally, that things would take a hit anyways. My schedule and stuff is just all over the place, so this helps. I'm also going a full week low carb (keep them well under 50 grams per day) and I'm keeping calories low as well. This serves as a good purpose to increase my metabolic senseativity a bit, and I'm not going to need the carbs anyways to train/deload. I'll probably lose some weight due to water and glycogen, but that can also let me see how I'm going to need to adjust dietary factors over the course of the next 10 weeks. I think things will be able to stay rather normal, but we'll just have to see how things play out over the week.

I got in a lot of reps for this session, but nothing was ever hard. It honestly felt good to get some higher intensity metabolic work towards the end. Overall, a solid day.
