Headed to London to train at Elitefts on Saturday. The past couple times I've been up I've trained with Ted Toalston and Jessica Bowerstock. Trying to keep up with them squatting makes me have to work hard. I've just now started to feel more comfortable under the bar again. My meet PR is 675 raw at 220, and I was red lighted on a depth on a close call with 700. Today, I worked up to 600 for my first decently heavy rep that didn't feel awful in a long time.
Squats: I'll skip the boring warmup up stuff- my last 3 singles were 560, 580, and 600 all in Elitefts maverick wraps.
On to the fun part:
Reverse Band deadlift on the new Elitefts platform. - This was pretty cool and I'm looking forward to messing with it a little more and seeing what different band tension does for me.
It took Ted and I a handful of sets to figure out a good starting point. I figure our top set took off 185 or so at the bottom and you got 100% of the weight really quick! It seems like it will be a good tool to work on developing speed off the floor and working on the lockout.
