Qualified National Strongman competitor and will be competing  in Nationals this coming October to qualify for The Arnold in 2016

I am here to live, learn, and pass on.

Now that I am getting into routine with strongman training, it also means implementing movements I am not use to. These upcoming weeks will obviously be the times where I will know what I suck at, what I need to focus on, as far as certain muscle groups, and of course, technique. That goes without saying.

Squat till you burn . Literally. I was walking like an oompa-loompa.

Back squats - 1 x 8/6/4/2

215 x 8

225 x 6

235 x 4

250 x 2

Unfortunately I had to repeat my first set of 8 because I was squatting too high. Not sure why I had my set up different (it was probably the combination of the heat and blood loss from my blood being drawn earlier) my stance was wider than usual.

Front squats - 3 x 8

135 x 8

140 x 8

145 x 8 (at this point I was drenched in sweat and the bar kept slipping....that's what she said)

DB Lunges - 3 x 10 (each leg)

KB Swings - 3 x 20

Sled pulls - 4 x 100 ft (210 lbs)

Ham curls - 1 x 100

Front squats are definitely something I'd like to get better at. My back (as I've stated before) needs to get stronger. However, I trained with my friend and fellow lifter, Vinnie, who kept challenging me and knew I wouldn't go down without a fight. These days are the days that get you stronger mentally and physically, days when you train alongside motivating and strong people.
