After Fridays training I felt a little better but as the day went on Saturday, I got worse again. I loaded up on NyQuil and knocked out. I refused to miss Sunday training.

The plan was 275 for doubles. I'm currently still using my program where the Lexen meet in October was the end goal. Since that is no longer happening, and I'm competing in December instead, I only have the next 2 weeks to "peak" in my training until I start prepping for December (if that makes sense). The problem is I'm not 100 percent to do so. This is where you have to adjust and put your ego aside and make due.

I worked up to 225lbs for doubles, and that felt pretty heavy. As I've mentioned before I transitioned from a high bar to a low bar but I still haven't found my "setup" where I'm comfortable and can execute the lift properly. Today was a perfect day to take advantage to find it. After 10 sets of figuring it out, I placed the bar slightly higher where I feel like I'm more stable and have a better grip on the bar. Once I figured that out, I deloaded the bar to 135 and squatted to a box. I did that for a few sets until I found a feel of where I need to set the bar every time. Obviously one day won't cut it, so make it a habit to work on small things like that in your training.

Do things repetively that way it becomes second nature.

The video below was the tipping point. I got pretty frustrated- my squat is all over the place and I was hunched over. Steve Goggins is one of the best squatters out there and probably one of the few that can get away with squatting the way he does and lift a million pounds. That's not the case for me.

My issue is maintaining tightness, getting a better handle of the bar, and keeping my chest up and opening my hips simultaneously- so basically a cluster fuck of things. BUT I am not discouraged. It's frustrating to have to go back to square one but that's how you learn and adapt.
