2016 has been a productive strongman season returning back to the sport. In June I took third place in the Open SHWW with United States Strongman. In September I won the HWW America's Strongest Master with Strongman Corporation. I would like to continue to make improvements and push my performance considerably for next year.
As of right now, I have no competition plans until next year. I am not sure what they will be but am using this down time to address some weaknesses, particularly 12" log and circus DB. Grip training will return as well.

I am finding my motivation to return to the gym. I love being there and working hard. Right now my mind is still a bit in burnout mode since the competitions. Time is always the answer but in the meantime, I need to be getting some work in. I'm starting to feel the inevitable "yuck" without lifting.

Grippers
Checking in to see where I stand on these. Still closing the credit card set with the COC 2.5 so I'm good there. I did bring my grippers in to class for some fun. Maybe it was the pressure of not looking a fool but I was able to close the COC 2.5 (wide set) without warm up OR chalk for my class. That's impressive in my book and continues to be part of the progression of a successful certification attempt.

Tomorrow is five weeks since I competed. I hope that shortly things snap back and I get back to lifting heavy things.
