Ok, so powerlifting is a wonderful sport . I have a mad love for it. However I love even better to watch it be done correctly versus poorly. At a meet everyone is yelling for you to get the weight. White are white lights. The chances  get higher of making the lift if executed correctly. With a clear mind and set of technical skills no one can take from you. When I witness lifters with bad form and all their lifts look terrible it is... Either because they are brand new or they are not properly trained or they don't care and just want to load the weight up and attempt it. Generally get hurt or get so mad and discouraged they blame everyone around them.

As a veteran of the sport I encourage all lifters to kept learning, don't just learn from the people who have lifted the most. Learn from those that have done it right for so long they don't know how to mess a lift up.

I'm not strong when it comes to numbers. I am strong when it comes to execution. I can attempt a weight many times and fail then on the 4th attempt I can get it. I have missed very few attempts in a meet and as a professional you shouldn't miss often.  Talented lifters have it all most of the time, until the threshold hits them and they have to work hard then they break.  Lifters like me with out talent but train hard and pay attention to detail are what make the sport. The sport breeds hard work. Talent will come and go in all sports. Hard work will remain. Because they are smarter and pay attention to what needs to be done on their own without doubt.
