In 3 short years Dillon Ledford has made massive progress in his brief powerlifting career. In December 2015 he came to us as a kid who could not lift his jock strap and didn't know shit to now, a full fledged pro raw full power lifter and a leader in our gym.

Dillon had competed in 4 raw full power meets, making huge strides in each meet, then in his 5th raw full power meet, he hit a raw full power Pro total in the 242 weight class. After accomplishing this feat in a very short period of time he decided he wanted get his feet wet in multiply lifting.

At our gym, its a requirement that you have to hit a elite/pro raw full power total before you can lift in gear. Mission accomplished for Dillon. Time for the dark side to commence....

With one real multiply training cycle under his belt he wanted to try his hand on the platform as a full multiply lifter. So we picked the meet, got him ready and off we went to The IPA Tennessee State Championships in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Things did not go the way he wanted but I feel like he learned a ton and we are back on the grind as I type this. We are getting him prepared even better this new training cycle in multiply. Learning multiply is not as easy as some would think. It takes patience and dedication to learn the craft. Dedication is not the issue for Dillon. More time under the bar will help him a ton the next time he steps on the platform.

Keep an eye out on this young man. He is young, hungry, dedicated and he does not use that he is a type 1 diabetic (diagnosed at age 9) with an insulin pump strapped to his hip 24 hours a day as an excuse or a crutch when most would. Dillon is a true warrior.

I am very proud of you Dillon. You are what this Team is all about. I am very honored to have you as my family/teammate/friend.
