I was headed home from work and I was stopped at a red light. A high school kid was in front of me in his pick up truck and it appeared as though he was driving stick and kept popping the clutch.
He would start the truck, it would lurch forward then die out. He must have done that about five times and had made it to the middle of the intersection. I had a feeling this wasn't going to end well so I stayed behind the white line on the green light.
The light changed to red and this kid and his pickup truck were now stuck in the middle of the intersection. I thoughtfully looked down and evaluated my outfit. Above knee length skirt and flats. On one hand I could be nice and push his truck out of the intersection for him. However, my mind was stuck on the possibility of the wind blowing up my skirt and the chuckleheads at the transportation department who man the cameras getting a laugh or two at my expense. Next thing you know, the video would be uploaded to youtube and the views would pass Goat Boy Passing Out DL. Let me tell you, that's a tough video to pass by in views, but I didn't even want to risk the possibility of that ever happening.
Before I could even fully evaluate my options and arrive at a decision, two gentlemen jumped out of their work truck and helped push the pickup truck off to the side of the road.
Everyone was smiling and high fiving each other, trying to be quick before the light ran through again. I couldn't help but smile and think how cute that two grown men were able to push the pickup truck to the side of the road. I coulda pushed him all the way home - in my skirt.
