Reebok Record Breakers, a powerlifting meet that has grown its reputation to attract some of the worlds strongest lifters to come out and showcase their strength. Many know what goes into powerlifting and its training, this meet is allowing me to LIVE out my love for this sport and compete on a large platform. Few, however, know the peripheral benefits of this career field and sport until you see your circle grow.

I've said it hundreds of times, I was RAISED in this field by the best network one can be a part of, it all started with a mentor who took a chance and poured into me. I then was given a source in which much of his information was coming from, EliteFTS, which allowed me to better understand theories, methodologies, and perspectives by minds far more experienced than my own in a career field that was not about me but others.

Originally the main reason for my visit to the west coast was a powerlifting meet I quickly realized it is much more than that. From the get-go, EliteFTS teammate Harry Selkow opened his house to me and started pouring into me with helpful advice in so many different areas of my life, it's what he does, and he has a genuine care that is contagious. I was fully invested to now make this trip into allowing me to LEARN from Harry and decided to wake up at 4:45 am and hop in the car with him to see him do his thing with clients all morning.

Harry always seems to be in, "his element" cause he creates it, when he steps into his facility it is no longer, his element, but his world. Every person that steps into his world automatically transitions into their own element because of what this man has created, it was phenomenal to see. From young athletes to soccer moms, everyone got in and got to work knowing exactly the effort and expectation Coach Selkow has. I was fortunate to stand in his shadow and watch him train, work, and build on relationships he has with his clients making them strong(er), iron sharpening iron. Within the 5 hours that I was a fly on the wall I was introduced to over a dozen clients all who seemed to be in a place of greatness because they were training and making themselves better under the guidance of one of the best in the business. I requested their stories on meeting Harry and they all ended with their lives being better from him humbly PASSING ON.

I am just shy of 1/2 way done with my visit to the west coast and have lived out the EliteFTS mission to live, learn, and pass on. The best part for me though, is in order for me to learn, someone else has to pass on to me and Harry has been doing this since I stepped foot on his front porch and I will be forever grateful for him in doing so.
