Funny how once fall begins approaching, the bed automatically becomes 5000% more comfortable. That translates to less training time and perhaps an arrival or two later for work.
While my training is terrible, the treadmill has been my saving grace. Treadmill, right. Exactly how I typically feel. However, the extra energy and boost to my overall mood and functioning has been essential right now.
Today was America's Strongest Woman and Master's Nationals. It seemed to be a very quiet year on the HWW front for nationals, so there were lots of new faces. My girl Lacy decided to compete as a master this year since she has already qualified for The Arnold.
She took second place by .5 of a point. It is always frustrating when things come down to the wire like that but it is what it is. Some days are like that. I'm proud of her, she worked hard and had some unexpected things on her plate as training concluded.
Each competition that goes by I get more and more frustrated that I am not out there competing. I miss it so much and need to get back out there. I am just hoping my girl doesn't decide to retire anytime soon. The best competitions always involve competing alongside her.
