Bench

Warm up routine

Bar 2 x 5, 75lbs x 3, 95lbs x 2, 115lbs x 2, 135lbs x 2, 155lbs x 1, 165lbs x 1, 180lbs x 1

This training cycle I have yet benched up to or over 180lbs. In my mind, the result was from neglecting overhead presses and other secondary movements. I thought I lost strength. It has been frustrating to think that I lost over 25lbs off my bench. Granted, I weighed 10lbs more when I bench 205, but generally I felt weak. One day Casey asked me to go back to my 205 bench. It was evident that my form then and now are completely different. Why? It could have been lost in translation. I've made so many technique changes to my training. I'm just glad I was proactive about it (better late than never), and my bench came all together before the meet.
