Bench

I mentioned bench in my previous post. I can tell you what I'm doing about it after the Arnold, but then again, that would mean I'm not present and focused on what I'm currently trying to achieve. As of right now, working 90%+ won't do anything for me. Technique and "speed" days are a factor from this point until the meet.

Deadlifts

Warm up - 135 for 2 x 5

185 x 2, 225 x 2, 255 x 1, 275 x 1, 300 x 1, 315 x 1, 355 x 1, 375 (failed) - I saw stars once I started pulling. Low sugar? Maybe. Could be anything. Form was off.

Trolls on the internet kept commenting about how much my form sucked, quarter squat gang and what not. These are also people with private accounts who claim to have big dicks. Then again, people are hating on Thorb Jornsson's 1103lb frame carry. You can't win sometimes.

I don't claim to be a hot shot. I don't claim that my squat is perfect. In fact, I'm pretty sure that even though 340 was on my back, it was a shitty day. I'm trying to figure things out, learn and take away from each training session. But the untold story is, my squat remained under 300 for over a year. Mental barrier. I changed from a high bar to a low bar a few months ago. My technique feels great with 225 on my back. 340 needs to look like my 225. If you saw my squat 4 months ago, I couldn't squat over a plate because low bar felt so uncomfortable. The fact that I'm playing around with 340 and not giving in to mental games is amazing. But, what do I know. I have a huge ego.
