January was a month of no obligations. Get curious with other training and really step out of my comfort zone. Yes, that included CrossFit.

Definitely not made for it, and endurance wise, I haven’t felt that out of shape since strongman. But i digged it. It won’t be my last. Pilates reformer was a good challenge. Never knew the little things could make for a killer workout. Conveniently the studio is across from where I’m interning.

Goggins and I will be talking next week to discuss meet plans and prep. Couldn’t be more excited to get back at it.

In the meantime, enjoy this bodybuilding remix. I combined two different days:

Legs
Squats – 5x8, with hip circle
Leg press – 4x15, heels together, toes point slightly out.
Bulgarian split squat – 3x12 each leg
superset with
Single leg glute bridge – 3x8 each with a 4 second hold on each
DB Stiff legged deadlift – 4x8, with band tension
Leg Extension – 3x10 with a HARD 2 second contraction at the top.
superset with
Leg curls – 3x12

Bench/Shoulders

Side laterals – 2x15, light
DB Arnold Press – 5x10, start light
DB High pull – 4x10-12
Machine laterals – 4x15, drop set last set
Incline facing Y’s – 3x12
