Nothing really to report other than I'm trying to get my shit together. Easing into training and getting into routine. Since I was "off" from training, I trained when I had the time and did so 3-4 times a week. Now that I was able to request certain hours at work (which is very fortunate), I am slowly making training one of my priorities again. Goggins has me training 4 x week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday).
After getting a text from Steve this past weekend, I realized we didn't communicate as well as I thought. I told him my goals but not my current state. That lead him to believe I was able to still bench above 170, squat and deadlift above 350, which was not accurate. He also failed to tell me videos are required after 24-48 hours after each training day. Now that smart comments were exchanged, we're on the same page again. I've never worked with an online coach and this is a coach I know and trust but communication is KEY when you're not able to physically work them. Being honest, transparent and communicative will not only help the relationship but the understanding of the athletes needs and coaches approach and methods.
After a month, I'm sure I'll have more to report. I'm just hoping muscle memory kicks in soon and fast.
Stay tuned.
