I'm not gonna lie-- training has been the last thing on my mind lately. I'm still showing up, training, and enjoying every minute of it (it's the couple hours during the day where I'm not buried in bar prep work) but it's not my top priority at the moment.

 

However, I have made some major improvements in how I approach training during times of "turmoil" or high stress periods. Meditating regularly has helped me stay "present" while training, rather than worrying about all the studying I'm not doing while I'm training. It seems simple-- if I'm worrying about studying while training, I end up having a bad training session, I don't enjoy it, and I'm not spending that time studying... so really it's just counterproductive all around.

I figure if I'm gonna do something-- I might as well do it 100000%. Should I be training while studying for the bar? Maybe not-- but I made the decision to do it, nobody forced me. So I might as well put all my effort into it and enjoy myself 🙂 (easier said than done some days-- but ultimately training has kept me grounded throughout this whole process).
