I'm taking the next 12+ weeks off from strongman events and training primarily for hypertrophy with a slight strength emphasis. I'm in my "off-season" and looking to put on some size over the upcoming months and into next year. I'm working with teammate Mike Mastell on my programming.

Since I haven't pulled a regular deadlift from the floor in 6 weeks or more, I was curious how strong my deadlift would feel. Especially since I was deadlifting at the end of my session, a bit fatigued. Instead of at the beginning when I was fresh. I'm definitely not at peak strength, but I did work up to a respectable triple. I was using touch and go reps and got a little sideways on my 2nd rep, apparently I touched the bar down unevenly.  I was pretty happy with this session overall.
