I'm taking the next 12+ weeks off from strongman events and training primarily for hypertrophy with a slight strength emphasis. I'm in my "off-season" and looking to put on some size over the upcoming months and into next year. I'm working with teammate Mike Mastell on my programming.

When you do a Giant Set of SSB Squats, Leg Press, Bulgarian Split Squats and RDLs you know you're going to have a bad time.

This session was pretty rough overall, but it was more mental than anything. I didn't feel like training to begin with this day. I was tired and just not motivated to train. But it had to be done, so I sucked it up and got it done. Luckily it hadn't nothing on some strongman death medley's I've done. Don't get me wrong, this wasn't a walk in the park though. This is the first time in a long time I thought I was going to throw up during training. I didn't, but I wasn't far off.
