Spoiler alert, I bailed on ALL reverse band third attempts! Why, cause with all the other things going on outside of the gym that second attempt felt like a house and I was not having it, lol.

 

Perspective

All of these numbers I have hit before, all of these numbers RECENTLY have not moved this good in over a year. I have had great support by the powerlifting team and training partners at IPA. I had people coming in on their off day just to help load and spot me when I needed it the most, my mindset was right for these lifts and I felt god at calling it where I did.

 

Coaching

Back story, last meet, I missed my second attempt due to being out of position. I was so nervous about my third that I was loose and when I hit the hole my hips were too far forward, I did not hinge enough, and it caused me to shoot back. My knees collapsed and I worked for every inch of my ugly 655 squat. Last week my first attempt the same thing happened and I was annoyed, this week I nailed down my opener with no hip shift but then allowed it to happen again on my second. My hinge needs to be better starting my decent or I may fall into the same sticky situation going into my third attempts, that is retaking my second.
