This could not get any worse, could it?

Things were all exciting after the last update video regarding the house, well here is a turn for ya. The majority of those things are going to have to drastically be put on hold and who knows for how long. Let's correlate this to powerlifting shall we, its a marathon, not a sprint. The process will be long, slow coming, and filled with frustration.

After the garden was almost finished my mother came down to visit and injured herself at our house, that was the first of three. She is doing fine now, we dodged going to the emergency room (against what I wanted) but everything worked out. The day they left our toliet started backflowing water, not just a little bit, the entire bowl. This is not a minor issue so on the phone we go to get an emergancy plumber out to try and fix it $$$.

Long story short, we went through 3 plumbers, the first company "rodded a line" and left with us still having a problem and they said, "we need to have someone investigate further tomorrow, we are pretty sure it's your vent stack".  Well, ill tell you right now I never heard back from them for a follow-up, I had to track them down, they never ended up coming back cause they were backed up with investigations for like 2 weeks, it was not a vent stack, and we were out a ton of money.

The second plumber came through our home warranty which ended up not being covered and found that the line they rodded was not even the correct one. The correct one needed to be dug up from being covered by 2 inches of ground (last homeowners did not take care of lawn at all) and found that it was the main sewer line and that it was not only collapsed but the nicest tree on our property broke through BOTH exit lines that come out of our house.

So plumber two was double the cost of plumber 1 and said we will have to get our tree cut down and our plumbing dug up with is 3x more expensive than the work we have already had done, awesome. Fast forward 3 days, we have the tree cut down, I rent a jackhammer to break up the driveway to save money from the current plumber quote, and we plan to get everything dug up. WELL, family friend plumber comes out and his company gives us the quote for all work which ended up being cheaper than the second plumber AND I didn't need to do jackhammering either. Second plumber was informed about better quote and never heard back from him again.

A week after all repairs are done, and praise God, our home insurance actually is covering all the work outside of the house which helps us immensely. Julia and I rented something called a ditch wich after the tree stump was removed and the yard was dug up to level everything out. It was hard work but we both had a blast running that thing, me more than anyone else, lol! We got some sod down and with the gift of our insurance covering the outside we can move forward with getting brick for the front of the house!!!
