The definition of a Coach or coaching:

“Someone who’s job it is to teach people to improve at a sport, skill or school”

“Instructor/Trainer”

“A form of development in which a person called a coach supports a learner or client in achieving a specific personal or professional goal by providing training advice and guidance”

“An informal relationship between two people, of whom one has more experience and expertise than the other and offers advice and guidance”

Sometimes I may be hard on my clients, friends or students and if I am these are my top 20 reasons why.

1)      I want you to believe in yourself.

2)      I want you to improve.

3)      I want you to succeed.

4)      I want you to be safe.

5)      I want to keep you in perspective.

6)      I want to help you set goals.

7)      I want you to see your gains.

8)      I want you to be an individual.

9)      I want you to push your limits.

10)   I want you to challenge yourself.

11)   I want you to be passionate about what you are doing.

12)   I want you to be honest.

13)   I want you to have fun.

14)   I want you to be a good team player.

15)   I want you to use your setbacks or failure as a learning opportunity.

16)   I want you to trust the process.

17)   I want you to become better than you were yesterday.

18)   I want you to train with intensity.

19)   I want you to learn through trial and error.

20)   I want you to keep a training log.

So for those of you who wonder why is my Coach so mean or always harping, these are the main reasons. If you have a coach who says everything you do is great, perfect, amazing and never helps break it down then either you are perfect or your Coach is not doing their job.
