Competition prep started this past Monday and everyone was hype! I am finally in a good place with training and being motivated again. I have re evaluated my goals for my meets and am not worried about being at the top of my food chain just yet in my weight class. I am going to be smart about it and ENJOY the process focusing on getting a total PR meet after meet to build on the base I have started with he help of my coach David Allen.

We went for a heavy three on a non competition lift, I decided to go to a "low box" which ended up being more like a parallel box (Will drop the height next week). We broke out the EliteFTS Spider Bar and this is how my top set looked:580x3

First two reps felt awesome, I took a breath between two and three. I was not settled, bracing was poor so all hell broke loose coming off the box, but I got it. Forgot to record deadlifts but they too were non competition movements. I went opposite stance, no belt, off of about 3-4 mats (roughly2 inches). I felt a strain where my bicep origin is in my armpit and stopped at 545x3. In all reality though, this would have been my second to last attempt anyway. the rest of training was short and sweet but had Reverse hypers in them which always rock me.

Training:

*Wide Stance Low Box Spider Bar Work up to heavy triple: 580 + 2 mats x 3

*3 Mat Conventional Deadlift Heavy 3: 545 (bicep pain)

*Kneeling Cable Crunches

*Reverse Hypers
