Back to the negatives! This is the first "Triphasic" movement of the program where we focus on the eccentric portion of the lift. I am pleased that we will be doing it with a competition setup. We were suppose to go off of 90% of our wrap maxed but my ego got stroked by the rest of the team and I went off my best wrapped max from competition. I am glad I did cause although the weight felt moderately heavy watching the video reinforced that it was a good weight for me to be using a it was moving quickly and smoothly. I put extra focus on getting to depth which was successful, I would estimate 90+% of my squats today were depth.
The finisher today ended up being awesome, a 50 yard loaded hex bar carry. Usually I hate doing carries but for some reason I really enjoyed these. I paid the price for not doing them in forever cause I strained my ankle but I was able to finish all the sets.
Training:
*Competition Squat 3 sec negative
*GHRs + dropset with bodyweight to failure
*Leg Press
*45 Degree Hypers against bands
*Hex Bar Deadlift carries
