PHENOMENAL TRAINING SESSION!!!

I choose this bar during this mesocycle because I suck at it, to my surprise everyone else in the group did as well. My issue with this bar is I do not grip it right and have my wrist and hand rotated away from the center of the bar (so more of my palm is on the bar). Well I am here to tell you right now this bar does not like nor allow you to do that very well. I took 345 and my hands rotated in causing my palms to twist away from the midline of the bar and my knuckles screwed in towards the midline of the bar. By this time I was having a mental battle in my head because I was not having fun. A few teammates noticed, called me out and got me squared away. I decided I was going to play the bar, prior to unpack I was going to seat the space between my thumb and index finger nice and deep into the gnarling and rotate my wrist in as the bar did to me the set prior, I wanted a football bar PR bad! I was nervous, anxious, and pissed at this bar for giving me grief, I wanted this 365. With that one small change the un-rack lite a fire under my ass! The bar seated so firm and solid into my hands that i go so excited I almost broke form. I brought the weight down and blew it up like a stick of TNT went off under it and did it for a second rep. What an awesome training session and a great way to start the weekend.

Training:

*Football Bar, Work up to heavy double: 365
*Slingshot Bench
*Neutral Hammer Strength Chest Supported Rows, hold each rep for 3 sec
*Rope Face Pulls
