So NBS had a video shoot marketing the new facility and EliteFTS equipment. All teams were invited in and recorded during different time slots. I purposely changed my training up to hit heavy squats and deadlifts on this day (obviously).

It was extremely crowded which did not bother me, keeping my training partners on track and focused was more difficult than usual. I think it was good for us because it changed the scenery and made it more like a meet. We rolled on the EliteFTS Cambered Bar today and it took everyone for a ride except one teammate. I was feeling real good and popping out of the whole, my goal was to get as close to 600 s possible. As I came up on 565 I felt strong and in control on rep one, rep two shifted me slightly but nothing serious and completed the lift at about a 7-8 RPE.

I consulted one of my partners and wanted a second opinion on my jump, told him my goal and he said to jump right to it. I did and did not look back, as I took it the first rep felt solid as hell but definitely hard as F**K, rep two was going to make or break me. I cam out of the whole strong but shifted to far forward and the evil sway of the cambered bar bit me keeping me from completing the second rep. Pretty bummed but oh well (Sorry no video).

Deadlifts went Identical to squats, lol.

we pulled from a three mat deficit (roughly .75" per mat so roughly 2.25" deficit, really who the hell cares). Worked up to 500 no belt and felt good, I knew my grip was going to be the issue yet again. 585 moved well but slowed at the top because of my underhand grip being a hoe. The bigger guys in the group were keeping the heat turned up on me so I was trying to keep up, I ended the session by completing both reps with 585 and attempting 605 and could not lockout my second rep due to the bar slipping out of my hands just passed the knees. I do not have a video of this unfortunately.

The goal for then end of this mesocycle is to complete the squat and deadlift with 605 if not more!
