This workout happened up at Wendler's.  Always a great place to train and I come back with a renewed sense of training purpose.

  • Trap Bar: 285x13
  • Pull-ups: 10x5
  • Push-ups: 5x5
  • Weighted Vest Walk: 56 minutes

Trap Bar felt great.  The same weight on the straight bar just feels so much worse.  Hahaha!

I was able to do Push-ups on the floor for the first time in months!  Jim has thick push-up handles and maybe they helped?  Either way, I was happy.  My lockout was still off (something that was corrected on the elevated Push-ups I've been doing).  It'll just take some time.

The walk was a little shy of 3 miles.  We started out at a good clip, started talking and then picked it up to finish.

Again, I'm toying with some ideas to create some variety in my training while still getting in what I need to.  I think part of my issue with my shoulder is that I get locked into a limited number of movements.  This is great for simplicity, but it probably isn't great for avoiding overuse injuries, which I struggle with often.

Similar to how I train my athletes, I'll use multiple movements to hit muscle groups.  My overall workload won't really change, I'll just get in more movements on different planes.

On to the new week.
