Josh Bryant’s Power French Toast

Amount: 4 slices

Ingredients

4 Slices Ezekiel 4:9 Cinnamon Raisin Bread

½ Cup Eggology 100% Egg White

¼ Cup Whole Milk

½ Scoop Nutrabolics Isobolic Sustained Release Protein Matrix (Cinnamon Oatmeal flavor)

2 Tbs Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

4 Tbs Grade B Maple Syrup

Blend Egg White, Whole Milk, and Nutrabolics Cinnamon Oatmeal bowl

Soak Bread in Mix (for best result refrigerate for one hour or overnight in a shallow pan)

Cooking Instructions and Tips

Heat oil in pan over moderate temp for 2 – 3 minutes be careful not to overheat causing the oil to smoke.

Place bread in pan for 1 minute per side (or longer to desired crispness).

When removing the bread from the batter and placing the slices in the coconut oil use a spatula to support the pre-cooked toast preventing the bread from crumbling.

The extra virgin coconut oil is a must, as it is a great source of medium chain fatty acids or MCT’s which are less likely to be stored in the body as fat than are long-chain triglycerides.

I enjoy this recipe even without syrup but should you choose to up the calories feel free to add additional coconut oil instead of butter and 100% pure Grade B maple syrup as it is high in minerals that are essential to good health.
