Tonight's shirt work went pretty well. I've been having problems with my right shoulder, but tonight it felt great through warm-ups and all of my sets until the last set. The last set at 760 pounds, I wanted to double, but my shoulder started to bother me so I didn't get a double in, but oh well. All the weight felt light in my hands and felt real good. My training partners, Dirk, Zane, Garrett and Clint, are also looking right on track for the Pro-Am.

A good friend of mine from Florida, Chad Walker, came down with my training partner, Ken Richardson, earlier in the day to train. Chad is looking huge and already has a 1000 pound squat and over an 800 pound deadlift, just need to get his bench over 700. I think we found the problem (his shirt is too big). Once we fix that, he'll hit 700 or more for sure in October at the Orlando Barbell meet.

I also wanted to say congrats to a friend of mine, Jake Zainea. He competed Saturday at a USAPL meet in Midland, Michigan. Jake was in the RAW/Juniors division, 242 pound class. Jake ended up hitting a 545 pound squat, 391 bench, and a 650 deadlift with a total of 1586 pounds. Jake won his class and took overall best lifter, and I believe had the best formula in the whole meet.
