Feels like my squats back in the game. Everything felt solid last night. My game plan was a ME single straps down, I had no intention of PR'n but everything felt great! Confidence comes from doing, this might not hold true for most but it does for me. As much as I'd not like it like that, I find that I need that reassurance. As my training partner Anthony Carlquist said "hitting a big squat before a meet is what lays out the level of confidence you have going into that meet". Hitting a big bench or a big deadlift in training doesn't have the same influence as hitting a big confident squat. Oh, and I love this Metal Jack Canvas!
Also I needed some briefs that gave me just a hair more than the single ply M Briefs, but not the Jack or the Aces, they are to much. I have an old Pro Squatter that is tight on me and I cut the straps off and turned them into briefs. They felt perfect under the canvas, just what I needed!
