All working sets of deadlift today I paired with box jumps. After watching my video it has become apparent to me that I need to work on my explosiveness. The box jumps were added in after one of my teammates sent me a Louie Simmons interview. Louie stated, "I have my guys do 40 jumps a week", so I decided to implement this suggestion. Four Box jumps will be done after ever working set of squat and deadlift.
The 5/3/1 template to most seems basic, I assure you this program has our whole team wrecked afterwards. I have not been this sore in quite some time and its a good feeling that I have missed. As stated in earlier posts' the accessories we are doing are hypertrophy based, which means, there will be drop sets, banded sets, negatives, partials, clusters, and reps till failure throughout our accessories movements. I am still feeling my legs during this session from Mondays workout!
