Disclaimer: EliteFTS Team member David Allen writes all of my programming, The exercises listed in these posts' are designed for me based on my needs as an athlete.

I was able to still hold onto training partners for this session! The way things are shaping up I may have gotten two solid training partners (fingers crossed). That being said training was much more productive being pushed with people of similar strength around me.

Today the main movement was reverse band bench press. My bench over the last year has stalled significantly (been chasing 400 for over a year now) and even recessed in competition. I have requested the help of EliteFTS teammate Casey Williams during my development prior to my next meet to get everything ironed out.

Everything felt good today and my numbers were much better than last time. It is amazing what equipment, atmosphere, and mindset will allow you to do in training and competition. The gnarliest part of today was the last two exercises, 5x20 calf raises followed by a wrapped occlusion set of the calves. I have not felt pain like this in awhile and the video shoes.

Training:

A1

*Reverse Band Bench Press: work up to a heavy set of 8 reps and do 2 sets of it, then add weight and do 2 sets of 6, then add weight and do 2 sets of 4 reps, then drop back to your original working weight for 8 and do a set of max reps

*Loaded Pec Stretch

*Fat Grip Rack Slide Shoulder Press

*Loaded Tricep Stretch

*Bulgarian Dumbbell Split Squat

*Leg Press Calf Raises: 5x20, pause at the bottom and the top for 1 count each, only rest 1 minutes: 185
