The Raw Men

I’m so proud to include Jack O’Rourke in this post. Jack had a meet PR by weighing in at 209 lbs!!!

I had 2 raw lifters that I was helping, Jack and Mike Germain, who are both following the 5th set for Powerlifting from Swede Burns. They had all their shit together. They had their attempts planned out as well as all their warm ups. I have not read Swede’s book myself, but from what Jack and Mike have said, as well as a couple of my other clients, it is a must buy!!

Mike Germain:

Squats:
345 – Good lift
370 – Good lift
395 – Good lift
Bench:
215 – Good lift
230 – Good lift
245 – No Lift
Deadlift:
405 – Good lift
440 – Good lift
470 – Crushed it!
Fantastic way to finish up his first meet! Mike and I have known of each other for a few years now. He came into the globo gym I worked at and did some sessions with me. I try not to forget people that I work with. So, we have seen each other and said hey, but not much past that. This weekend was the first we got to hang out and we hit it off like Dale Doback and Brennan Huff as seen in this picture.

Mike Germain is now part of the team! #initiation #teamnolimitsouljaz Shane Church Shannon Larsen Brandon Evans Jack O'Rourke

Jack is my lifting soul mate. Our personalities compliment each other very well. Jack over thinks the fuck out of everything to the point he becomes physically ill. I don’t think. Combined we are well balanced haha. He had the best meet so for this young buck. Not trying to get a 500 lbs PR total at each meet paid off 😉 Great things will come to Jack. He is starting to drop his guard in life and learning to “take chances and make mistakes”! Quiz time. Who said that quote all the time?
