Increase the volume, increase the poundages, and incrase the suffering. You want to know how to get strong?? You keep it simple, you find movements that make you stronger, do them, and keep fucking going!
A. SS Yoke Bar Beltless Squats
495x10
515x10
475x10
475x10
Heavier than Monday, and keeping up with the theme of wrecking my life. These are testing my mental fortitude. I'm not going to let this stupid movement beat me.
B. Beltless Straight Leg Deadlift
525x8 overshot my RPE
495x10
I was annihilated from the squatting. I backed off on volume with pulls a little bit. Sometimes you can take more from the day, and other times you have to know when to reel it back in. No problem with this at all.
C. Rear Foot Elevated Split Squat
135x12 each side
135x12
135x12
Another effective way to prioritize proper knee tracking, leg engagement, and glute activation while still getting some wicked stimulus for the quads!
D. Glute Ham Raise
15
15
15
15
These are always terrible feeling, but the hamstrings are what generally control the descent of the squat. Doing these is imperative for raw squatters, both for control, and keeping the potential high to reverse direction with as much power as possible out of the hole.
