Sam has 4 meets under her belt in the past 16 months. Each of these meets Sam is continuing to grow and find herself. In these 4 meets she has not even tapped her level of potential that she is capable of and as she continues to gain confidence, take a step out of her comfortably zone and take risks she will see what all of us already know is there....but first you must take that step. I am looking forward to that....
Sam competed 8 weeks prior to this meet at The SPF/GPC Worlds in Vegas and finished with a 4th place finish in a deep 123 weight class. No breaks, she as well as Melissa, Shelly and Brandon set their sights to doing this meet and each of them had PR's and very good success. Sam moved up a weight class to 132's so she would not have to make 2 weight cuts in 2 months. I did this with Melissa (moved up to 123), Shelly (moved up to SHW) and Brandon (moved up to 220), moving them up a weight class to lesson the already rigorous schedule they had in front of them competing back to back.
Sam had a great meet this past weekend going 9 for 9 and hitting PR's across the board with squat, bench, deadlift and total. Here is what she accomplished at The SPF Record Breakers:
132 women's raw full power open division
9 for 9 on attempts
PR squat
PR bench
PR deadlift
PR total
2nd place finish
Huge congrats Snowette! Super proud of you! Lets keep grinding!....
