After a fairly long hiatus from strongman, I decided to get back in there and compete. I cannot really remember the last strongman competition I did but over the past couple of months I have redefined myself as an athlete and started back to event training. I am pleased with my progress and continue to adapt to my recent rather large weight loss. My next competition is United States Strongman Nationals on June 11, 2016 in Kentucky.

Fingal Fingers
I did some warm up sets and then 2x4 flips. Luckily it was just me and JoAnne training. Let's just say during the first set I had a wardrobe malfunction. After I got the finger up on my first flip and was "walking" the finger, my bra started sliding up. By the 4th flip, it was completely up. There was no way I was going to do a 5th flip and politely excused myself to the bathroom to try to find a fix, tighten everything up as much as I could and get ready to rock a couple more sets x 5. On the second set, the exact same thing happened again at exactly the 4th flip. This was a great lesson to have happened. I NEED to go clothes shopping, this is getting dumb.

Worked up to the 280 stone, missed the load but it felt great.
The fluid on my knee continues to increase and I am getting some weird stuff happening in there again not to mention the tightness through my quad. It's time to get serious about getting this under control and improving. The SquatGuide will once again become my good buddy. That thing keeps me in check and moving good!
