Block 11, Wave 2 - Events @ Brute Strength Gym

Today I headed down to Brute with Dave, one of the owners of Iron Strong CF, to work on throwing things higher and better.  It was his first trip to train at BSG and he wanted redemption for the horrendously heavy caber we tried to make ourselves.

Weight Over Bar

1ea x 28 over 10'

1ea x 28 over 12'

1ea x 42 over 10'

2x1ea x 42 over 12'

2x1x42 over 13' - Right side only.

2x1x42 over 14' - Right side only, sent the first one straight up to the bottom of the bar and it came right back at me, forcing me to de-ass the area with a quickness.

Caber Toss

1xLW caber

3x1xHW caber

1xLW caber

I was letting the HW caber drift away from me and fall way too far before trying to turn it the first 2 times, but I remedied the situation on the 3rd turn.

Keg Toss (to 16')

w/ups were 1 rep with each keg with rest between

1x{1x21, 1x32, 1x35, 1x empty full size} - Done in a series, first 3 were pony kegs.  This felt good, but I could also tell I was getting pretty fatigued so I stuck with one time through since it went according to plan.

Odd Stone Clean & Press

w/ups were the same as for the kegs, one rep with each stone done with rest between

1x{1x105, 1x130, 1x135, 1x155, 1x170}

2x{1x155, 1x170}

Prowler Hi/Lo

6x{50' x prowler + 50 high handles/50' x prowler + 50 low handles} - Indoor prowler skis on rubber floor always ends in combined quad and lung death.
