Well, today was a seriously great way to end up this 4 month block of training. I hit the heaviest bench I have since the inaugural Super Swole Sunday at Iron Sport in 2011. I'm a little surprised it ended up so well, but I had made some technique modifications to my setup this time around so maybe it is all just smoke and mirrors. Either way I don't give a rodent's rear end because I'm pretty happy about it.
Bench Press
10x45
10x95
5x135
3x225
1x275
1x315
1x345
1x370 - Up 5 lb from last time I worked up.
1x375
1x380 - Boom! 410 here I come!
Incline DB Bench
15x70
3x10x90
Axle DB Rows/Top Boob Raises
3x{10ea x 80/15x10} - The top boob raises were requested by my friend Mark. It is bilateral dumbbell shoulder flexion (i.e. front raises) starting at 90º and going up to 180º or a little less and then back down to the starting position while keeping the DBs pressed together. It completed the desired objective of hitting the clavicular head of the man boobs as evidenced by my soreness in parts of my chesticles that haven't been sore in a good while.
