Death by squat volume, and always learning something new on the bench press. Loving the physical and mental growth that occurs during meet preps.

Week 1 - BOB3 Prep
Prep for this meet is going to be structured pretty similarly to the last two preps I've done, as I've had great success with it. I squat and deadlift heavy every other week, or twice per month. In Week 1, I'll squat heavy and do speed pulls, and in week 2, I'll deadlift heavy and […]

Week 1 Offseason Training - Squats and Leg Destruction
After my experience at the XPC Finals, I have decided that it is time for me to stop resisting the changes my body wants to make and move up to the 242 lb weight class. I'm looking forward to being the little guy and having something to prove. I took a 2 week break from […]
My XPC Finals Experience - the Good, The Bad, and the Life Changing Opportunity
My XPC Finals Experience - the Good, The Bad, and the Life Changing Oppo...
Powerlifting isn't about just stepping onto the platform to lift weights with your body. Having a solid mental approach to competing is critical, and learning to compartmentalize mistakes is the key between having a good day and a bad day. And the XPC Finals tested my mental game to the limits, with a fantastic surprise to end the day.
