Max Effort Floor Press:  Added an additional five pounds to start just to have that going for us.  Then we worked it up (not counting the five) to our 50% or dynamic weight while doing 5 reps.

At that we dropped the reps to three and continued up by adding a chain to each side until we couldn't do the three reps.

HERE is where we added a chain and hit a single until the weight didn't go up.

I had 6 sets of chains on each side but by my design...chains don't weigh anything.  (I know...not as confusing as it sounds)

Hunter (My son) was working in a rack next to me.  Although he wasn't feeling that well yesterday, he was in the middle of the carnage today.  Yes, even when you are ten years old and there is an abundance of testosterone, you get some on ya.

He BEGGED me to let him go up in weight.  I figured (JUST FOR TODAY) why not?

The 62 pounder strained against an 80 pound pin press (just off his chest).  Well...I think we might have created another weight whore.  He got up AMP'D to the cheers.  Quite the spectacle, and YES...he is a LOT weird (the acorn thing I suppose)

From there we did 5 sets of 12 Fat Gripz on the Zig Zag bar with 90 lbs. tricep extensions

6 sets of single arm over head dumb bell shoulder press of 12 reps

and ended with Heavy banded face pulls 4x12

Some key points in everyone's training today.  Learn to GUT OUT the last rep.  Sometimes you do need to sacrifice the technique in order to get that rep.  My job is to keep it in a safe Risk:Benefit ratio.  (Note: my kid doesn't get an inch)

The groups kept a good pace today.  All the above was finished with in an HOUR.

Now it is time for some NCAA football!

Let your team be successful.

Cheers boys (and girls)
