After winner her PRO-STRONGWOMAN card, Kristin Johnson gets in her first bench press workout in over two and a half months. This log takes a look at that workout.

In past articles and coaching logs, we have posted copious information detailing Kristin’s strongman training that got her to the point of attaining her pro-strongman card. More recently we posted an article listing Kristin’s Top 20 Strongman Tips for the Strength Athlete https://www.elitefts.com/education/20-pro-strongman-tips-for-the-strength-athlete/ which your emails tell us was extremely helpful.

Kristin, a longtime member of the Monster Garage Gym and Maroscher Powerlifting Team, moved to Florida last year and this past week she came back to the MGG to get in a few training sessions. The team was thrilled to see her after such a long time away, and training with her felt like she never left.  Once a Monster....always a Monster.....

This particular coaching log details her bench training from this visit. Kristin has a 315LB RAW bench and a 450LB shirted bench. Below you will find her workout (simple and basic) as well as a video of her training. This was a very simple and basic, “toe back in the water” bench training day, although she did take her RAW bench with the New Elitefts Red Shoulder Saver, up to 315LBS for a number of single rep sets, as well as a drop-set of 225LBS for several reps after her Red Shoulder Saver sets with the 325LBS.             Strong IS Strong.

Here are Kristin’s sets and reps from this session:
Warm up: 2 x 20 x bar, 3 x 20 x 105LBS, 2 x 12 x 145LBS, 2 x 5 x 195LBS, 5 x 235LBS, 3 x 265LBS, 1 x 285LBS with the Elitefts Red Shoulder Saver, 3 x 1 x 325LBS with the Elitefts Red Shoulder Saver.
Wide pull downs: 5 x 20 Face pulls: 5 x 20 Lateral raises: 4 x 10
*not all sets and reps are shown in this video.
