I have used both the harness and the belt for sled dragging. The biggest difference is with the harness you can lean into it a little more and for some, it is a more natural feel. If you are running with the sled, the harness is probably the better choice.
Also, if you are pulling a truck or something that is incredibly heavy, I would recommend the harness.
