Once again the brilliant EliteFTS™ advisor John Meadows blows us away with his outside-the-box experimentation.  Tricep training by nature allows for a lot of variation and this spin on the overhead tricep extension is definitely something to try out for yourself.

As great as standard overhead rope extensions are, the rope can be wobbly and unstable when fatigue kicks in.  Eliminating the rope and replacing it with the pullover machine handle eliminates wobble and allows for your shoulders to stabilize in a stronger position.  Another great feature is that the resistance is generated in front of you rather than behind.  Failing on this machine involves stepping backward and letting the handle down instead of twisting and spinning around or even letting go of the rope and allowing the weight to crash down.

This exercise can be substituted for overhead rope extensions and is somewhat reminiscent of a JM Press.
