Standing DB Curls

So what's the deal with all these exercises for biceps? I'm confused and expecting someone to find a way to do curls with a 2,3 or 4 board.

Anyway, here's how to do this exercise: stand up, hold dumbbells and curl them. If you want to get super strict, look at your bicep as you curl. I'm not sure what this does, but it seems that everyone does it when they do curls.
