RIP Roger, the Kangaroo with a Bodybuilder Bod

When people describe kangaroos, a few words come into mind: Australian, animal, pouch, jump.

But when Roger, a 6-foot-7 red kangaroo went viral in 2015, more adjectives for kangaroos began to circulate the internet:

Jacked. Ripped. Buff.

Our gorgeous and handsome Roger when he was alpha (boss of the sanctuary) a few years back.

Roger also had a reputation for destroying metal buckets.

Who crushed it better....Roger or Dr Chris

Sadly, Roger died unexpectedly on Saturday, according to his caretakers at The Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs, Australia. He was 12 years old. On average, red kangaroos can live up to 23 years.

Though no one can ever replace Roger (or that bod!), his legacy continues on through his son, Monty.

Monty is our stunning alpha male, and is telling me to get out of his territory. Monty sees me as competition because I am 2 metres (6ft 7). He is a bit taller than me when he stands upright. Monty is here with his mate Johanssen. As you can see Johanssen is much smaller so Monty sees him as a friend.
