Learning how to squat all over again is frustrating me. Getting back to bench post shoulder surgery was way easier than squatting. Regardless of how strong I kept my legs throughout recovery it's my shoulder flexibility that really makes a difference.

I will get back to where I was before, sometimes it gets frustrating. Today I worked on the belt squat machine first holding a PVC pipe in place of a bar just to work on trying to stay upright. I think it helped, my squats were better than last week. Baby steps, growing pains and frustration is all part and parcel of training and recovering from injury.

Pretty good session, I'm competing in Raw Modern this time, no knee wraps so I can't expect my squat to be as much without wraps. I've also been battling a sore left hip/quad, I'm going to need a pretty good treatment prior to this competition, good thing I know an amazing Dr. and actually train with him, Dr. Ken Kinkin is the greatest.

A few more training sessions this week then next week I will shut it down and just stretch and stay mobile, I'm old as dirt so I need lots of recovery time. I want to go into this meet refreshed and strong.
