There was a light crew this training session, one teammate had the highland games he was throwing in so he was traveling, another had a sick child who needed attention (kids stealing gains). Still a legit session though, there are photos floating around of me in agony on the floor via facebook from the 4x15 ending our session on the reverse hypers.

I am doing Opposite Stance Deadlifts for a couple of reason's:

1) we are far away from a meet and our training methodologies have me doing non competition lifts

2) my lower back is weak, like really weak....

3) I have an issue setting my upper back when it comes to deadlift

Conventional deadlifting allows me to accomplish these three variables which will aid me in developing my sumo deadlift (and my squat with the lower back variable) which is needed as I have failed to deliver my last three meets when getting to deadlifts.

I was very pleased with how my top set today went of 495. I am not worried about grip right now, I am focused on building my posterior chain and this is why I am using straps. A few of my earlier sets I was checked by my teammates and I was not setting my shoulder hard enough, I pulled it together by the time my last set rolled around.
