If you want the best metabolic conditioning for your buck, you need a pair of Kettlebells. Two bells, half the time as one and twice the workout.

I love working with double kettlebells for a few reasons.  First reason is it keeps both sides equal, you don’t end up with a dominate side where you can only do 10 presses with your right but you can do 15 with your left. Everyone has a stronger side or a dominate side, double bells corrects that if you utilize them properly.

Second reason is it’s much harder, more challenging and if you think about it, you are doubling the weight so again, more bang for your buck.

Try these movements with double bells on their own or as an accessory to your current training program.

You can do them for reps or time, your choice but here is my recommendation.

DOUBLE BELL SWINGS

3 SETS X 20

DOUBLE SWINGING SIDE ROWS SUPERSET WITH HIGHPULLS

3 SETS OF 10

DOUBLE CLEAN AND JERK

3 SETS OF 10

DOUBLE SNATCHES

3 SETS OF 10

DOUBLE RACKED BELL SQUATS

3 SETS OF 20

If you can get through that session good for you, if it’s too easy, increase your bell size. If you don’t have heavier bell options, increase your reps.

Strongmen/women, Powerlifters, Crossfitters, you name it, Kettlebells are expanding the globe and are being utilized in several different areas of training.
